Harmon Prayer Letter
July 2007

Dear Pastor and Church,

Debbie had a pretty serious car accident. Thank the Lord that there were no injuries, except to Debbie’s pride and her accident free driving record. The two passenger doors of our car will have to be replaced and the frame straightened. Praise the Lord for his protecting hand.

June attendance hovered around 60 and is down some this month but we continue to have visitors and good altar response. I led a young man to the Lord in the front yard last week, hopefully he will follow the Lord in baptism soon.

The Lord keeps putting it all together for His honor and glory. Pastor Jose Gutiérrez, from Costa Rica with pastoral experience, preached on June 29th. Those present on Sunday night July 1st extended him a 100% call to come serve as pastor. He accepted that call and will arrive with his family on July 23. I believe it is a God honoring step of faith on everyone’s part. They have two small children and one due in December. His first Sunday message will be on July 29th.

Originally the parsonage would not have been available until December, but the Lord worked it out that we got use of it on July 9th with a very favorable amendment to the original contract. A little work and paint and it will be ready for pastor Jose and his family. In August, I will be freed up to report to supporting churches and (Lord willing) raise the $100,000 we lack towards the purchase price of the church plant and parsonage. Please keep up that fervent prayer support!
