Dear Prayer Partners,
We serve a wonderful God that always pours out His blessing upon His people.
We continue to marvel at His amazing grace in the lives of so many here in
Perú.
June and July were months full of activities and blessings as we continued
to see new believers added to the Christian family through faith in Christ
and then see them begin to grow by being discipled and to follow the Lord in
believer’s baptism.
We mentioned in our last letter that we were in the process of buying a lot
for the new work in Alaborada. Well, praise the Lord, through a special
offering from Kelview Heights Baptist Church, Midland, Texas we now have the
property.
We had the dedication service with a good crowd present. We continue praying
for God’s blessing’s as they will be able to get into a building of their
own and be able to reach many souls for the Lord. Pray for money to put a
wall around the new property.
The Work in Ensenada is beginning to grow and they too are seeing souls
saved and recently Baptized 6 new believers. The owner of the property has
decided to put the lot on the market and have given us the first option. He
is asking $15,000 but we could get the property for $12,000 if we had the
money in hand. It is a valuable piece of property. It is on the main
entrance into the area and very visible as thousands of people pass it every
week. Any offering toward these needs can be sent to me at the Missions
Office as a special offering for the work in Alaborada or Ensenada.
The other mission, Juan Pablo has been blessed with new believers, also. We
are praying that the Lord will provide a permanent place for the work there
as well. There was another mission work in an area near by, that has decided
to abandon the area and they have brought their group over to our mission,
which almost doubled the attendance. Pray for our missionaries and the young
people from the mother church who are helping in these new works.
The Manna feeding center is now feeding 70 needy children. The increase from
65 to 70 has put a strain on the financial budget for the food. Thanks to
extra special offerings we receive from individuals they are just barely
making ends meet. If you could have a part in this wonderful ministry send
the offering to Manna World Wide designated for the Perú Project, Lima,
Perú. We recently received two special offerings from Faith Baptist, Attica,
Kansas and Temple Baptist, Albuquerque, New Mexico toward the fence that we
need to put around the property.
Thank you for your continued support and prayers. Pray for us as we will be
visiting some of our supporting churches while here in the states.
