Quito, Ecuador — April 2008

What a whirlwind of activity and blessings we have been experiencing lately. We are certainly grateful to you for your prayers and financial support.

Pastors’ Retreat
Our Pastors’ Retreat in March was a great success. We had some very dear friends to underwrite the expense of a nice hotel for our pastors and their wives. We had several different sessions dealing with integrity and character in the life of a servant of God. We all enjoyed the time together, the rest, the food, the recreation, the relaxation, the worship times and the time in the Word. There was a fantastic spirit among our couples. What a blessing to work with men and women who love God sincerely and serve Him selflessly.

Missions Conference
For the first time ever, all three of us BBFI missionary Smith brothers were in a church missions conference together. Westside Baptist in Hutchinson Kansas was the brave church to host us. A great time was had by all! What a blessing to be part of a family who takes seriously the fulfillment of the Great Commission!

Precious Miracles Foundation
Our daughter, Stacey’s ministry, Precious Miracles has completed six years since it was officially recognized by the Ecuadorian government. Stacey is presently on a furlough, reporting to her supporters. It has been almost eight years since she arrived as a missionary in Ecuador.

Santa Rita School
The school in the Santa Rita church has finished the present phase of their construction. Thank you very much to those of you who contributed to this project. We were blessed to be there for the dedicatory service. Many parents are being reached with the Gospel as a result of the labor of the school and the efforts of Pastor Carlos Pullugando.
