JULY 2007Dear Friends, This young man is a grandfather!!!!! Ok, not physically, but spiritually, yes! About four years ago David, a young man in our church, began asking prayer for his school buddy, Jose Luis. The church prayed for 2 years before Jose Luis, known as Lucky, finally came to a youth activity. He was a quiet, serious lad, and took in all that was said and done. Before long he attended another activity, and eventually went to camp. A few weeks after camp that year, Lucky was saved and our prayers were answered! The whole church was so happy! But as it should be, Lucky wasn’t content to come alone, so he began inviting his family members to come to church with him. They couldn’t deny the changes in him, so out of curiosity several came. Over time, and with much prayer, Lucky´s sister Analía was saved. That made David a grandfather in the Lord! She has continued to come to all the church services and grow steadily. Between them both, they have brought several other members of the family, and just a few months ago Lucky´s younger sister, Diana, was saved. Just this past Sunday they asked prayer for Analía´s son, Alexis (age 8), as he is wanting to be saved, also. God has been MULTIPLYING the
results of those prayers and David’s testimony, as He does each time we
are faithful to witness.
This past May that young man, David, and our daughter, Monica, were married here in Rosario. Both David and Monica are students in our Bible College and preparing for full time ministry. They are a great help in the work, and have just this month taken over as leaders of the youth group. God is preparing them for a life of service to Him, and we are so happy to see all He is doing in them!! Please pray for them as they continue to help in the ministry here and prepare for whatever God has ahead for them. Next week we begin the second semester of the college. We are excited about what God is doing, and busy with all the work involved in the training. We will also meet with the architect to see what can be done to begin building the girls dorm. This will be a faith project, as we have not received any funds for it yet, but it is needed by January, so we will press on and pray for God to provide as needed. Please continue to pray for the college, the students, and the construction! Thank you for being a part of the many things happening here in Rosario! We count on your prayers and encouragement! May He be blessing your church, also! Gratefully, Steve & Pam Email: SteveThornton@bbfi.org
