Dear Friends in Christ,

Yes, here it is March, and we haven't written you a letter yet this year. We have just spent a whole month fighting a virus - it didn't affect our health - but it may have affected our sanity. It definitely messed up our computer and for that reason we have finally decided to go ahead and send a letter to all of you by surface mail even though we had been sending almost three-fourths of our letters by email.

The Lord blessed our preparations for a Christmas program at our church in December, and the children did a good job of presenting the various scenes of the Christmas story while the choir sang. AND we were thankful to have some first-time visitors.

In January we had a "Special Saturday for Kids". Our teachers worked really hard and prepared for 40 kids - twice as many as we normally have in Sunday School. The Lord rewarded their efforts and brought 59 kids and several have visited Sunday School in the last few weeks.

In February we had a mini youth camp here at our acreage for 10 young people from our church (including some visitors) and 10 from the Boa Vista church in Curitiba. Several of these young people had never been to youth camp before and 5 of them accepted Christ as their Savior during the camp. Alberto and Sueli, the couple in our church who are studying and preparing for ministry, did a great job directing the camp. Our speaker was Thomas Gilmer, a young missionary who manages a Christian BBN radio station here in our area. He and his wife are members of the Boa Vista church and are in charge of the youth department there. Our son, Brian, and his wife, Adriana, helped with all the hard work.

Please pray for us as we prepare for an important meeting on March 27th of the members of the "Association for Helping Churches" . We MUST make some important changes in methods and do some belt-tightening, as the world economic crises has greatly reduced donations, and is beginning to affect our capacity to supply loans to all the churches who need them.

We are thankful for your prayers and faithful support for our ministry here in Brazil. We pray that God will bless all of your efforts in these difficult and uncertain times.

Yours missionaries to Brazil,
